CS2 Cases With Gloves: All 7 Glove Cases, Pools and Odds (2026)

Seven CS2 cases drop gloves at 0.26% per opening. Here are the pools, real cost per try, wear pricing and how the Dead Hand Terminal differs from a case.

Three pairs of CS2 gloves fanned out: Specialist Gloves Fade, Sport Gloves Amphibious and Driver Gloves Snow Leopard

Seven CS2 cases drop gloves as their rare special item, at 0.26% per opening, about 1 in 385. They are the Glove Case, Operation Hydra Case, Clutch Case, Operation Broken Fang Case, Snakebite Case, Recoil Case and Revolution Case. The Sealed Dead Hand Terminal also holds gloves, but it sells you offers instead of dropping an item, so it is not a glove case.

Which CS2 cases drop gloves, and what is in each pool?

Gloves are the rare special item in seven CS2 weapon cases, where they take the slot knives hold in other cases. Each pool has 24 gloves across six models. The seven cases share three pools, so several drop identical gloves. For a model-by-model look at every glove family, see the wiki's CS2 glove types guide.

The Glove Case, Clutch Case and Recoil Case, three of the seven CS2 cases that drop gloves, side by side
Case Released Pool (this guide's shorthand) Glove models
Glove Case 28 Nov 2016 Gen 1 Bloodhound, Driver, Hand Wraps, Moto, Specialist, Sport
Operation Hydra Case 23 May 2017 Gen 1 Same as Glove Case
Clutch Case 14 Feb 2018 Gen 2 Driver, Hand Wraps, Hydra, Moto, Specialist, Sport
Operation Broken Fang Case 3 Dec 2020 Gen 3 Broken Fang, Driver, Hand Wraps, Moto, Specialist, Sport
Snakebite Case 3 May 2021 Gen 3 Same as Operation Broken Fang Case
Recoil Case 1 Jul 2022 Gen 3 Same as Operation Broken Fang Case
Revolution Case 9 Feb 2023 Gen 2 Same as Clutch Case

Release dates are from CSGO Database's glove case list. The pool details match DMarket's glove-type breakdown.

Two naming traps

The Operation Hydra Case does not drop Hydra Gloves. It shares the Gen 1 pool with the Glove Case, and Hydra Gloves come only from the Clutch Case and Revolution Case. In the same way, Bloodhound Gloves | Snakebite comes from the Glove Case or Operation Hydra Case, not the Snakebite Case.

What are the odds of getting gloves from a case?

Valve's rare special tier is 0.26% per opening, about 1 in 385, and it is the same in all seven cases. That is the same chance as a non-StatTrak knife. A glove-pool case does not give better odds of a glove. It gives a different set of gloves.

"1 in 385" is an average, not a schedule. Here is the chance of at least one glove in a given number of openings (our own calculation from 0.26%):

Openings Chance of at least one glove
10 about 2.6%
50 about 12.2%
100 about 22.9%
385 about 63.3%
770 about 86.5%

Opening 385 cases still leaves roughly a 37% chance of no glove at all. Each opening is independent, so a dry streak never makes the next one more likely. Our post on CS2 case opening odds explained goes deeper on what 1 in 385 really means.

Valve publishes tier odds only, not per-item odds (the wiki lists them in CS2 case drop rates by rarity). Trackers assume every skin in a tier is equally likely, which gives about 0.011% per glove, or roughly 1 in 9,200 in a 24-glove pool. That is an estimate. The value spread is huge: SteamDB lists the Glove Case's gloves at floor prices from $67.44 to $2,206.42. Gloves also cannot be StatTrak™.

Key takeaway: Every glove-pool case has the same 0.26% chance of a glove. The difference is how valuable the average glove in that pool is.

How much does a glove case cost per try?

For classic glove cases, cost per try is the case price plus the $2.49 key, which runs from about $2.60 for the cheapest pools to about $27 for the Operation Hydra Case. The cheap pools (Gen 2 and Gen 3) cost a few dollars per try, while the Gen 1 cases cost far more because their supply is thin.

As of October 14, 2026, the lowest market price of the Glove Case was $8.29, and it was down about 20% over 30 days. Steam's own listing was higher, around $12.41. That puts a Glove Case try at roughly $11 on third-party markets or about $14 on Steam.

Case Lowest listing (CSGO Database snapshot) With $2.49 key
Glove Case about $8.30 to $8.60 about $11
Operation Hydra Case about $24 about $27
Operation Broken Fang Case about $4.90 about $7.40
Clutch, Snakebite, Recoil, Revolution under $0.40 each about $2.60 to $2.90

The listing prices come from CSGO Database's glove-case and case-list pages. They are snapshots from different dates in 2026, so check a live listing before you budget.

A low cost per try is not good value. SteamDB's numbers for the Glove Case are $7.97 expected return against $14.74 spent per opening. Another tracker, csdb.gg, estimates a lower return, about 28% of spend. Methods differ, but the pattern holds: on average you get back less than you spend.

How does wear and float change a glove's price?

Wear matters most at the top of the range, because Factory New is a very narrow float band. Gloves have a float range of 0.06 to 0.80, and Factory New for Hydra Gloves | Case Hardened is 0.06 to 0.07. If exteriors and caps are new to you, the wiki explains them in CS2 float values explained.

Two pairs of Specialist Gloves Marble Fade, one factory-new with vivid colours and one battle-scarred with heavy wear
Exterior Float range Hydra Gloves | Case Hardened (approx.)
Factory New 0.06 to 0.07 $457
Minimal Wear 0.07 to 0.15 $84
Field-Tested 0.15 to 0.38 $57
Well-Worn 0.38 to 0.45 $60
Battle-Scarred 0.45 to 0.80 $55

The prices come from SteamAnalyst's aggregate page. Below Minimal Wear the price barely moves, while Factory New is worth several times more. Case Hardened is also pattern-dependent, so individual copies can sell well above or below these averages. Most openings land in the cheaper exteriors, so expect a worn glove far more often than a Factory New one.

Why is the Sealed Dead Hand Terminal not a glove case?

The Sealed Dead Hand Terminal, released in March 2026, holds 22 new gloves, but you never open it like a case. It features 17 weapon skins and 22 new glove finishes, the first new gloves since Operation Broken Fang in December 2020. The gloves are 8 Driver, 7 Specialist and 7 Sport finishes, such as Sport Gloves | Ultra Violent and Specialist Gloves | Pillow Punchers.

Classic glove case Dead Hand Terminal
Key needed Yes ($2.49) No
What you get A random item A buy-or-skip offer showing skin, wear and price
Attempts One Five offers, with a rare chance of a sixth
Guaranteed item Yes No, skip every offer and you get nothing

The Spike's guide says each terminal gives five offers, showing the weapon skin, wear and purchase price. Once the fifth offer is used, the terminal disappears. You get one from weekly drops, the Steam Community Market or trades. So a case is a blind drop you have already paid for, while a terminal is a decision with a price attached.

We couldn't find an official Valve odds table for terminal offers, so treat any per-glove percentage for the terminal as a guess. Valve sets the prices, and you pay them only if you accept an offer.

Where do glove cases fit on CSDROP?

CSDROP has a glove cases category within its 300+ cases. Cases open from your balance, so no key is needed. Each case page shows its item pool and drop rates before you open, and that page is the source of truth. The 0.26% figure above is Valve's rate for its own cases, so read the rates on the case you pick.

Openings are provably fair. Results come from an HMAC-SHA256 hash of a server seed (shown hashed before play), your client seed and a nonce, and you can verify them in your game history. Items won are credited to your balance at market value. New accounts also get free cases with no deposit needed, though you may first have to verify your email or link Discord or Steam (see the free case page).

Set a budget before you start, because most sessions end without a glove. CSDROP is for adults only (18+, or the age of majority where you live), so play only with money you can afford to lose.
